If there is a loss in the stock market, should the shares be sold?

If we had invested for the long term, then discuss all the reasons keeping in mind which you decided to buy the stock.

If you have invested without any reason and based on hearsay, then it is better to exit the same way because investing on hearsay may make you profit today but in the end you will end up in loss.
