How volatile and unpredictable is intraday trading in the stock market?

This market exists only when it is volatile and unpredictable. If it were stable and predictable, then we all would not have come here to earn.

Then there is no single parameter for this because thousands of stocks trade in the market. Out of which some stocks have low volatility, some have normal volatility and some have very high volatility.

We can choose low volatility, high volatility as per our convenience.

As far as the unexpected is concerned, my personal experience is that the market cannot be called unpredictable because if it were so, it would be difficult for a person to earn from here. Yes, to some extent, the sudden news coming in the market definitely makes the market unpredictable for some time.

The selection of market volatility depends on the value of the stock chosen by us and the news going on in the market at that time. Sometimes it is less and sometimes more. Therefore, it will be difficult to tell from any one figure how volatile the market is.
